PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a selective connecting apparatus by which a vehicle can be diagnosed surely by surely cutting off the input to a vehicle diagnostic apparatus of a noise signal generated in a connecting cable not connected to an ECU and to obtain a vehicle diagnostic system using the selective connecting apparatus. SOLUTION: The selective connecting apparatus 20 comprises a plurality of connecting cables 15 which are prepared in respective arrangement positions of respective check connectors 104 on a vehicle diagnostic stage in a vehicle assembly line in order to connect a cable connector 16 to the check connectors 104 in the ECU 103 in the different arrangement positions inside the vehicle 100 according to the specification of the vehicle 100 and a selective connection means which is interposed between the connecting cables 15 and the vehicle diagnostic apparatus 10 installed at the vehicle diagnostic stage in order to communicate with the ECU 103 via the connecting cable 15 connected by the cable connector 16 to the check connector 104 from among the plurality of connecting cables 15, which selects the connecting cable 15 connected by the cable connector 16 to the check connector 104 from among the plurality of connecting cables 15 and by which the selected connecting cable 15 is electrically connected to the vehicle diagnostic apparatus 10.
