PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a humidifier which prevents scale components such as calcium much contained in city water from being deposited on a heating bath. SOLUTION: The heating bath 7 has a lower portion whose diameter tends to be smaller than that of an upper portion at a step portion 7a as a boundary formed at an approximate center in the vertical direction. A heater 6 is attached to the lower face of the step portion 7a. The step portion 7a is inclined at its inner face side with its small diameter side to be lower. A cylindrical adsorbing filter 13 is provided in the lower portion of the heating bath 7 for adsorbing deposits. Thus, the scale components are efficiently precipitated on the bottom surface of the heating bath 7 and the scale components are adsorbed by the adsorbing filter 13 without applying intensive heat to the place with the heater 6, and so they are prevented from being deposited on the inner periphery face and the bottom face of the heating bath 7.
