The driving device comprises an i.c. engine (2) with an output shaft (5) connected to an input shaft (6) of a gearbox (4) by means of a de-clutchable coupling (7). An electric motor (3) with a rotor (12) and a stator (10) is connected to the engine output shaft by a planetary speed reduction transmission (9) comprising a sun wheel (14), a crown wheel (13), satellites (15) and satellite carriers (16). The rotor rotates with the crown wheel, the sun wheel being fixed.
