<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To utilize a found cell differentiation-promoting factor for inducing the differentiation of fat cell precursors to mature the fat cells in tissues to promote the accumulation of fats in cells, and to utilize a gene for the factor, and the like. <P>SOLUTION: The fat accumulation-promoting agent is characterized by containing as an active ingredient a nucleic acid encoding the cell differentiation- promoting factor having an amino acid sequence represented by a specific sequence, wherein the active ingredient is carried on a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier. Thus, the accumulation of the fats in the cells is promoted by the differentiation induction of the fat cell precursors to the mature fat cells in tissues, and the fat accumulation-promoting agent can be applied to the developments of methods and medicines useful for preventing and treating various diseases and abnormalities accompanied by fat accumulation disorders. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
