<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color image forming apparatus in which the lives of bodies for transfer such as a feeding means and an intermediate transfer body, to which an image for measuring a color slippage amount is transferred, are detected. <P>SOLUTION: This color image forming apparatus 100 having a detecting means 50 to output a first detected value obtained by detecting the images 60 of several colors for measuring the color slippage amount formed on the feeding means 30 by image forming means (PY, PM, PC and PBk), is constituted to detects the life of the feeding means 30 based on a second detected value obtained by detecting the surface of the feeding means 30 by the detecting means 50. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
