PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily perform reproduction working of a rotary cutter in a shield machine in a simple structure. SOLUTION: A plate 7 is arranged on the rotary center part of a cutter head 4 of the shield machine, fixed so as to cover the front face on a cylindrical rotating body 3 transmitting power to the cutter head 4, forms a hole 7a communicating with the inside and outside of the rotating body, is arranged on the center of the front end of the shield machine expandable in the radial direction, and the rotary cutter 8 capable of inserting the hole 7b of the plate 7 is detachably fixed during contraction and retreat. When the rotary cutter 8 is reproduced, a rotary cutter exchange box 11 is attached to the rotating body 3, the rotary cutter is drawn by a rotary cutter pulling and inserting means 17, and stored in a rotary cutter storing chamber 14 in the inside of the rotary cutter exchange box 11.
