PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation device capable of providing information on roads where a user is going to pass. SOLUTION: In the navigation device 1, a processor 12 sets an initiation point and termination point of path survey and then surveys a path between the two points. Then, the processor 12 calculates a point other than the present point which a locator 15 detects on the surveying path as a reference indication point. Furthermore, the processor 12 forms a map image around the reference indication point calculated on a working area 13. A display 18 indicates the map image formed by the processor 12.
