<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain, in an image forming device, stable print quality regardless of a change in surrounding environment. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming device performs printing on a printing medium while recovering toner remaining on the surface of a photoreceptor drum 1, after the transfer of a toner image, to a developing roller 4. The image forming device has the developing roller 4 for forming a toner image by attaching toner to a latent image formed on the photoreceptor drum 1, a transfer roller 7 for transferring the toner image, rendered visible on the photoreceptor drum 1 by the developing roller 4, to the printing medium, and a variable transfer power source 13 for variably applying a transfer bias to the transfer roller 7. The image forming device also has an engine control part 14 that adjusts the transfer bias, applied to the transfer roller 7 by the variable transfer power source 13, based upon a humidity environment or depending on whether printing is carried out on the surface or backside of the printing medium. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
