<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light reception module that has less manufacturing man-hours, and reduces manufacturing man-hours without reducing high-frequency characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: A light receiving element 14-1 is fixed to a side 13a of an integrated circuit 13 so that a light reception surface becomes vertical to the light axis of an optical fiber 12. Wiring length can be reduced by the electrode of a subcarrier 2 by performing the bonding wire connection of the integrated circuit 13 and the light receiving element 14-1, thus inhibiting the increase in the inductance and hence performing higher signal processing than before. Since no subcarrier 2 is used, the man-hours are reduced accordingly. Wire bonding is required for two times as compared with the conventional three-times bonding for connecting the light receiving element 14-1 to the integrated circuit 13, thus reducing work time accordingly. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
