PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mutual synchronous type video image transmission system using a plurality of systems of transmission lines to transmit a video source where a receiver side can output reproduced video images synchronously with each other independently of a delay difference in the transmission lines of each system. SOLUTION: The transmission system for transmitting video inputs 1 (1a, 1b, 1c) comprises: a master transmission system comprising a transmitter 11, a transmission line 21, and a receiver 31, a slave transmission system comprising transmitters 12, 13, transmission lines 22, 23, and receivers 32, 33 or the like. Each of the slave receivers 32, 33,... is provided with a means for obtaining a transmission line delay difference between the transmission systems, and a means for mutually synchronizing reproduced video images 2 (2a, 2b, 2c) by compensating the transmission line delay differences. Thus, the receiver side can output the reproduced video images synchronously with each other independently of the transmission line delay difference of each transmission system.
