PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scroll compressor capable of preventing a reverse rotation and a noise of a turning scroll caused by a reverse flow by eliminating interference between two actions of gases generated by a delivery gas and a reverse flow gas by a separation of gas passages and reduction in flow passage resistance. SOLUTION: The scroll compressor comprises a stationary scroll 4; a turning scroll; a check valve 11 formed at a central part of the stationary scroll 4, disposed at a delivery port 4b of a delivery hole 4a for delivering the gas compressed in a compression chamber to a delivery chamber 10, opening/closing the delivery port and provided with a passing hole 11a near an outer periphery; a valve cover 12 which has a valve chamber 12a accommodating the check valve 11, in which a gas passage hole 12b communicating the delivery chamber 10 with the valve chamber 12a is provided at an upper part and which is provided with a valve press surface 12c for restricting a vertical movement amount of the check valve 11 at an outer periphery of the gas passage hole 12b. At least one delivery gas passage 13 communicating the valve chamber 12a with the delivery chamber 10 is provided on an upper side wall of the valve cover 12 and an opening total area of the delivery gas passage 13 becomes an opening area of the delivery port or less.
