PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adhesive having excellent adhesive properties without adding toluene and/or xylene thereto, and low volatility and odor. SOLUTION: The adhesive composition comprises per (A) 100 parts by mass of an EVA-based emulsion solid content, (B) 1-30 parts by mass of at least one selected from among dimethyl adipate, dimethyl glutarate, and dimethyl succinate, and (C) 1-30 parts by mass of an ester compound having a coagulating point or a melting point of≤20°C, a boiling point under an atmospheric pressure of≥200°C, and an SP value of 16.0-20.5.
