<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a portable terminal by which power consumption for display can be reduced and operability for display can be enhanced. <P>SOLUTION: The portable terminal is provided with a sight line detection sensor 19 for detecting that sight line of the user is directed toward a liquid crystal panel (LCD) part 15 and a control part 13 for supplying power to a display part consisting of a back light 14 and an LCD part 15 and for controlling illumination and screen display when a fact that the sight line detected by the detection sensor 19 is informed via a sensor signal detection part 22. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
