<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photographing apparatus that can automatically discriminate a connected communication means and transfer most appropriate image data corresponding to the discriminated communication means. <P>SOLUTION: When a USB cable 2A is connected to a digital camera that is the photographing apparatus for picking up an image, storing its image data, and transferring the image data to an external device, the photographing device transfers the stored image data to a PC 2 being the external device through the USB cable 2A being the communication means. When a serial cable 3A being the communication means is connected to the digital camera 1, the digital camera 1 reduces the size of the stored image data and transfers the image data to a mobile phone 3 being the external device via the serial cable 3A. When no cable is connected to the digital camera 1, the digital camera 1 transfers the stored image data corresponding to the external device being a transfer destination on a wireless LAN to the external device through an access point 4. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
