PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a portable terminal with built-in GPS in which an allowable action range can be set from one terminal to the other, and deviation of the other terminal from the allowable action range can be informed automatically to one terminal. SOLUTION: The portable terminal 1 incorporating GPS comprises a telephone radio section 14, a GPS radio section 12, a memory 15 for storing data received at the telephone radio section 14, a map information section 13, and a control section 11. The control section 11 sets an allowable action range on a map read out from the map information section 13, and that range is transmitted from the telephone radio section 14 to a terminal on the side of a person being retrieved and set therein. The terminal on the side of a person being retrieved calculates the current location based on data received from GPS satellites. When the current location deviates from the allowable action range, the portable terminal 1 incorporating GPS on the side of a person being retrieved is informed to this effect and data of the current location is transmitted thereto.
