SIMPLE MATRIX TYPE LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY ELEMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple matrix type liquid crystal display element whose outside dimension can be reduced relatively to a display area. SOLUTION: A plurality of external input terminals are provided at a part of a peripheral part of the inner surface of one substrate and a plurality of electrode connection parts are provided at a peripheral part of the inner surface of the other substrate corresponding to the plurality of external input terminals for conducting signals to a plurality of electrodes of the other substrate. A seal layer in which conductive particles for conductively connecting the plurality of external input terminals and the plurality of electrode connection parts to each other are mixed is formed only at a side having the plurality of electrode connection parts in the other substrate.
