PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inverter drive hydraulic unit consuming a small energy, easy to control a discharging flow and discharging pressure, and of low heat generation, small size, and a low cost. SOLUTION: This inverter drive hydraulic unit is provided with a variable displacement hydraulic pump 2 including a pressure adjusting mechanism 9 mechanically controlling a position of a discharging amount variable element by hydraulic control based on discharging force, a variable speed motor 3 driving the variable displacement hydraulic pump, an inverter device 4 driving the variable speed motor 3, a pressure detecting means 5 detecting discharging pressure of the variable displacement hydraulic pump 2, and a controller 6 creating a variable speed motor rotating speed command for the inverter device 4 based on pressure detected by the pressure detecting means and a predetermined rotating speed condition 12.
