PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an increase of wear and an inside leakage in a gear type oil pump, caused by respective gears brought to one side or inclined. SOLUTION: A pair of gears 30, 31 is disposed in a gear chamber formed on a casing H such that both side surfaces rotatably slide with both inner side surfaces of the gear chamber. A pair of respective recessed grooves 20a, 20b at a suction side and recessed grooves 25a, 25b at a delivery side are provided on both inner side surfaces of the gear chamber. An operation oil suctioned from a suction passage 21 communicated with the recessed grooves at the suction side is delivered from a delivery passage 26 communicated with the recessed grooves at the delivery side. Slope surfaces 22, 28 of which a depth is gradually reduced toward a rear end are formed at a rear part becoming a rotation direction of both gears on a bottom surface of the recessed groove at the suction side or the recessed groove at the delivery side not communicated with the suction passage or the delivery passage. The housing comprises a pump body 10 made of cast and a pump cover 15 made of aluminum and the slope surfaces may be provided on the pump cover. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
