FIELD: mechanical engineering; conveyors. SUBSTANCE: proposed overhead belt conveyor contains belt passed over drive and tension drums to boards of which twin running rolls are connected by means of brackets for interaction with tubular guides. Nondriven flexible member is placed between carrying and return runs of belt for interaction with lower side of carrying run. Said member is formed by straps closed in vertical plane on sheaves installed of axles for rotation. Non-drive flexible member is located in zone of contact of carrying and return runs and drive drum on section of flattening of carrying run. Straps are round in section. Axle from side opposite to drive drum is made stepped so that upper edges of sheaves are located on curve following cross profile of carrying run of belt in zone of its maximum deflection. EFFECT: improved reliability of conveyor, cut down cost. 2 dwg
