<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a module for optical parallel transmission in which an adhesive is not required to fix a coated optical fiber and the yield of an optical element is good. <P>SOLUTION: The module 20 for optical parallel transmission is provided with a multiple optical fiber 14 having a plurality of coated optical fibers 15, optical elements 16 connected to respective coated optical fibers 15, and an alignment substrate 11 having a groove group 12 for positioning respective coated optical fibers 15 and optical coupling parts 13 for fixing the optical elements 16. Coated optical fibers 15 are arranged in the grooves 12a of the groove group 12, respectively. A light receiving element or a light emitting element 16 of a simple body is connected to each coated optical fiber 15. Each light receiving element or each light emitting element 16 is provided at the optical coupling part 13 of the alignment substrate 11.
