<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projection type image display system capable of decreasing complicated correction or the like. <P>SOLUTION: The projection type image display system where a color image display means 17 projects a video image onto a screen 18, includes a means 13 that obtains a correlation between three initial XYZ stimulus values of a video image projected on the screen at initial adjustment and an initial light intensity value of the video image projected on the screen at the initial adjustment, a means 12 that measures the light intensity at maximum light emission of each primary color of the video image projected on the screen after a lapse of a prescribed time from the initial adjustment, a means 14 that estimates the three initial XYZ stimulus values on the screen after a lapse of a prescribed time on the basis of the measured light intensity at the maximum light emission and the stored correlation, and a means 15 that calculates a color correction coefficient on the basis of the measured three initial XYZ stimulus values. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
