The sight glass (51) is accommodated in a disc (5) which covers the left end of the crankcase (3) of the engine. There is a disc behind the window with a small hole in it so that the oil flows in and out slowly and avoids surging. The crankcase is integrated with a frame (4) enclosing the belt or disc drive.
