The coupling for two shafts (2, 3) rotating relative to a housing (4) has claws (9) allowing one shaft (3) to drive the other (2), and a claw disengagement mechanism in the form of a screw (17) on one shaft (3) a nut (18) connected to a flywheel (19), and a brake (23) interacting with the flywheel. When the brake is applied to the flywheel the nut unscrews from the screw, causing one shaft to move axially and disengage the coupling.
