<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid polymer electrolyte film fuel cell with excellent crossover preventing effect. <P>SOLUTION: With the solid polymer electrolyte film fuel cell provided with a film/electrode joint body including a solid polymer electrolyte film 60 comprising ion exchange membranes 61, 63, 65 and an anode catalyst layer 50 and a cathode catalyst layer 70 arranged at either side of the solid polymer electrolyte film in opposition, an anode separator equipped with a hydrogen flow path where hydrogen flows and a cathode separator equipped with an oxygen flow path where oxygen flows fitted in opposition at either side of the film/ electrode joint body, the solid polymer electrolyte film 60 has a film thickness at a part in correspondence with a hydrogen feed port guiding hydrogen into the hydrogen flow path gradually larger than other parts. By making the film thickness of the solid polymer electrolyte film 60 larger at the part corresponding to the hydrogen feed port where pressure of hydrogen gas is high, crossover can be shut out. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
