PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To superimpose a tracking pattern on an image even in a monochrome image by making the tracking pattern inconspicuous without bringing about an increase in the load of image processing. SOLUTION: An image forming device has an image information output means for outputting image information, a means for forming pseudo-gradation image data on the basis of the outputted image information, a means for selecting a pixel to apply different pseudo-gradation processing to the pixel, and an image output means for outputting a processed image.
