The man overboard life saving system has an automatic central electronics surveillance system (12) on the boat connected to a position detector (2) on the bridge. The detector is fixed to an elastic cable (8) attached (6) to a life line (1), and to a lock release mechanism (17). The mechanism is fixed to a bag (18) with a parachute brake (28) which is released when the detector position is pulled.
