PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a chip antenna which can be made small in size and weight and low in height, can improve a resonance frequency accuracy and be manufactured inexpensively. SOLUTION: In the method for manufacturing a chip antenna, a green sheet having a predetermined tensile strength and thickness is prepared, a lattice-like division grooves 11 and 12 are formed in an upper surface of the green sheet to form a plurality of arranged chip antenna 1 regions, through holes are made to form terminal electrodes 4 on the division grooves 12, inner surfaces of the through holes are covered with conductor paste to form a pattern of an antenna element conductor 3, the sheet is baked to obtain a mother board 10, the substrate is divided along the division grooves 11 and 12 into a plurality of chip antennas 1 which are obtained by dividing the substrate 2 by dividing the through holes, have each a terminal electrode 4 and an antenna element conductor 3 on its upper surface. Fluctuations in the electrical length of the antenna element conductors 3 can be suppressed and thus variations in the resonance frequency can be made small. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
