PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a polyester fiber structure having excellent color development and color distinction. SOLUTION: This method for the production of the polyester fiber structure comprises the thinning treatment of a polyester fiber structure with a treating liquid having an alkali concentration of 10-600 g/L. The treating liquid is incorporated at least with an electrolyte in an amount of 0.01-10 mol/kg in terms of weight-mol concentration. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
