PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for simply utilizing sericin and fibroin that can be collected from farm and factory by-products, e.g. feathers and fluffs in order to sophisticate the functions of general articles. SOLUTION: Articles mainly made of polyamide fibers, e.g. acrylic fibers, nylon, silk, wool, or the like, are treated with an aqueous solution of silk sericin and, silk fibroin or a mixture thereof obtained as by-products from sericulturists and silk-reeling factories whereby the articles mainly made of polyamide such as nylon, silk or wool are coated with the silk sericin or the silk fibroin or their combination on their surfaces.
