<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible for a user to listen to an audio signal (voice) continuously without having a sense of incongruity or annoyance on auditory sense and prevent heat run-away of a digital device like DSP for adding an acoustic effect. <P>SOLUTION: The audio apparatus 10 includes an amplifying unit 12 for generating an audio signal to a speaker 11, a digital processing unit 15 for adding an acoustic effect to the audio signal, a switching connection unit 13 for connecting the audio signal AD selectively to the digital processing unit 15 or to the amplifying unit 12, a control unit 20, and a temperature sensor 17 provided near to the amplifying unit 12. On the basis of the control from the control unit 20, the digital processing unit 15 carries out the digital adjustment for reducing gradually the acoustic effect as the temperature detected by the temperature sensor 17 increases, the switching connection unit 13 connects the audio signal AD to the amplifier when the detected temperature is over the prescribed ceiling limit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
