PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device for a universal bus electric connector which firmly fixes a first grade electric connector on a panel corresponding to a computer, and to provide an electric connector especially used for a note book. SOLUTION: The connector comprises an insulation main body, a plurality of conductive terminals housed in the insulation main body, and a metal gasket combining a shield housing and the insulation main body. The insulation main body has a protruded part on which, a positioning hole is formed. The shield housing includes a first housing and a second housing and covers the insulation main body. A pair of fixing parts, laid one upon the other, are extended from near end of the first housing toward the computer, and a guide hole is formed to the fixing part. The metal gasket has a main body part having a screw hole at its inside, and the electric connector is firmly fixed to the computer by driving the screw into the screw hole. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
