Composition comprises a polymer with a non-silicone backbone with at least two reactive groups. The functional groups are epoxy, anhydride, acid chloride, ethyleneimino, aldehyde, (hemi)acetal, (hemi)aminal, ketone, alpha -halo ketone, alpha -hydroxyketone, (thio)lactone, (thio)cyanate, N-hydroxy succinimide ester, imide, imine, imidate, oxazoline, oxalolinium, oxazine, oxazinium, pyridyl thio, thiosulfate and groups of formulae (I)-(III). OCOA'COCH3 (I) AX (II) ASO2X (III) A' = 1-5C alkyl; X = OSO3H, SO2CH3, SO2C2H5, SO2Tos, N(CH3), OPO3R or CN; Tos = tosylate; R = H or 1-5C alkyl; and A = 1-22C alkylene, arylene or aralkylene. Independent claims are included for: (1) An aerosol device comprising the composition and a propellant; and (2) A cosmetic treatment method involving applying the composition.
