The invention relates to analog equalization filters used for wide bandwidth traffic reception in a digital subscriber line arrangement. The invention is based on the idea that a received signal is equalized at the receiving end, more precisely at the analog front-end of the receiver. The equalization is done so that the magnitude of the frequency response over the frequency band of interest is relatively flat after the equalization.
