PURPOSE: A portable phone is provided to calculate frequency according to the number of times of using menus, and to display menus having high frequency only on a screen if a specific key is selected, thereby enabling a user to easily use the menus. CONSTITUTION: A controller(100) calculates frequency of menus whenever a user uses the menus, and stores the calculated frequency in a memory(130). If the frequency is calculated, the controller(100) has menu lists in order of high frequency, and displays a menu configuration by the frequency on the menu lists if a specific key button is selected. A keypad(110) transmits the user's instruction to the controller(100), and has the specific key button for showing the menu configuration to the user. The memory(130) stores a predetermined program for storing messages processed in the controller(100), a program of configuring menus by frequency after calculating the frequency, and data generated by the program.
