METHOD AND INSTALLATION FOR TREATING METAL SURFACES, PARTICULARLY HEAT EXCHANGER SURFACES

The invention relates to a method of treating metal surfaces. The inventive method consists in: preparing the surfaces to be treated by depositing a coating thereon, for which purpose said surfaces are subjected to the action of at least one active agent (11); centrifuging the surfaces and, subsequently, rinsing same with a flushing liquid by projecting said flushing liquid onto the surfaces to be treated; and centrifuging the surfaces to be treated in order to eliminate the flushing liquid. Said rinsing operation can be carried out by subjecting the surfaces to be treated to a series of cycles in which centrifugation with simultaneous projection of the flushing liquid is alternated with centrifugation without projection of the flushing liquid. The active agent (11) is deposited on the surfaces to be treated either by immersion in a tank (10) or by projection and, in both cases, centrifugation is subsequently performed in order to eliminate the excess liquid. The invention is particularly suitable for motor vehicle heat exchangers.
