The invention concerns an implant comprising a shaft (10) tipped with a head (20). The shaft is designed to be inserted in the metacarpus of the thumb and the head to be housed in a space in particular obtained by removing at least part of the trapezium. The head surface consists of a base (201) linked to the shaft and designed to be supported on the proximal end of the metacarpus, a distal surface portion (202) opposite the base and acting as contact surface with the bone located opposite the proximal end of the metacarpus, and a connecting portion (203) linking the base and the distal surface portion of the head. The distal surface portion (202) of the head is inclined relative to a longitudinal axis (104) of the shaft at a predetermined angle ( alpha ), such that, when the shaft (10) is mounted straight in the metacarpus, the portion of the distal surface portion (202) of the head has an inwardly deviated location.
