A portable cooling unit (i.e. a mister) comprised of a portable frame having a fan and a water tank mounted thereon. A pump is mounted on the frame for pumping water from the tank to nozzles in a mister head which, in turn, is mounted on the front of the fan. Both the direction and the flow through the nozzles are adjustable.
