<p>A folding tote (10) including a release mechanism (60) located on one of the telescoping handles (12, 14) to release one or more locking mechanisms (56) located on the platform (26). One of the locking mechanisms (56) maintains the platform (26) in an open position while another locks the platform (26) into the folded, closed position. When released from the closed position, a spring (60) on the underside of the platform (26) facilitates the opening of the wheel support frame (32). Slides (16) lock the handles (12, 14) in the desired position relative to one another and slide along the handles (12, 14) evenly through use of stop members (17). Rotating spacers (180) protect the cart (10) as it is brought up stairs or curbs.</p> |
