The present invention relates to a filtration adjuvant containing grains of natural or synthetic polymers or incompressible natural grains of average size ranging from 20 microns to 70 microns and with a sphericity coefficient within the range of 0.6 to 0.9. The regeneration process is carried out by washing the filtration adjuvant with a caustic soda solution at concentration thereof in the range of 2 to 5 percent at a temperature of at least 80 degC for a period of 60 to 120 minutes, whereby caustic soda wash is carried out "in situ" such that the caustic soda solution passes through a filter installation in the same direction of flow of the washed liquid intended for filtration. Subsequently a washing of a liquid intended for filtration is carried out in the same direction of flow at a temperature of 40 degC to 60 degC and for a period of 100 to 200 minutes using an enzyme preparation, and then grains of filtration adjuvant collected on a filtration carrier are removed to enabling cleaning of the carrier, whereby the removed grains are used for a new filtration cycle. |
