<p>An electric motor has a stator and a rotor. The rotor is supported by a sintered bearing associated with the stator. The bearing 10 co-operates with an abutment 18 on the rotor to form a thrust interface. The abutment has a planar surface 19 with an outer diameter A. The bearing 10 has a cylindrical radially outer surface, a central bore 13 with a diameter B and two end faces 12.
