Sensor for measuring the torque between two machine assemblies with contact-free energy supply and measurement value transfer in a modular design. Torque is measured using force sensors (2) positioned to measure the deformation of a component caused by an applied torque. The measured torque value is decoupled from interference forces. The strain sensors on which the strain gauges are mounted are H or U shaped.
