PURPOSE: A mobile communication terminal capable of measuring eyesight and a method for measuring the eyesight using the same are provided to display eyesight measurement values composed as characters or graphics on a display unit, measure the eyesight of a tester when the tester confirms the displayed eyesight measurement values and selects a confirmation button, and display the measured eyesight on the display unit. CONSTITUTION: An eyesight measurement module(100) provides eyesight measurement values and judges the eyesight of a tester when the tester confirms the provided eyesight measurement values. A control unit(200) is converted into an eyesight measurement mode according as the tester selects the eyesight measurement module(100) for measuring the eyesight of the tester. A display unit(300) displays eyesight measurement values and result values detected from the eyesight measurement module(100) according to the control of the control unit(200). A key input unit(400) transmits key data corresponding to a key selected by the tester to the control unit(200). A memory unit(500) stores data values loaded for measuring the eyesight from the eyesight measurement module(100), and stores the measured eyesight values of the tester according to the control of the control unit(200).
