PURPOSE: An external electrode rubber socket for a discharging tube is provided to use a conductive rubber socket as an external electrode of a discharging tube and to make the rubber socket adhere to a glass tube according to elasticity. CONSTITUTION: An external electrode fluorescent lamp(EEFL) electrode includes a conductive rubber socket(11). The rubber socket is formed by mixing 100 weight% of rubber, 5-10 weight% of active agent, 15-500 weight% of conductive filler, 0.2-10 weight% of cross linking agent. The EEFL electrode is a conductive rubber socket having electric conductivity identical to the electric conductivity of a metal electrode and elasticity. The EEFL lamp includes a lead wire connecting means.
