CONSTITUTION: An automotive alternator is provided with a rotor having a plurality of field magnetic poles, the first field wire(4) for magnetizing the field magnetic poles, the second field wire(5) for magnetizing the field magnetic poles, and an armature for generating AC(Alternating Current) output due to the rotating magnetic field generated from the rotor. The automotive alternator further includes a rectifier(3) for transforming the AC output of the rotor into DC(Direct Current) output, a controller(6) for controlling the output of the alternator and a circulating circuit connected in parallel to the first and second field wire. At this time, the output of the alternator is decided by controlling the field current supplied to the first and second field wire.
