<p>A pressure-generating valve (2) intended for use in a gas system (6) for manual ventilation of patients, comprising a valve seat (4) with an opening (8), a valve plate (10) and a force-generating means (10, 12), the force-generating means (10, 12) being arranged to press the valve plate (10) against the valve seat (4) in order to close the opening (8), is described. In order to reduce the risk of annoying noise from the valve (2), the valve is devised so the valve plate (10) is asymmetrically shaped, whereby a gas flowing through the opening (8) in the valve seat (4), when the valve (2) is in the open position, applies an asymmetrical force against the valve plate (10). <IMAGE></p> |
