The method involves feeding torque components to two mutually associated units each having a motor (29, 30). Rotary encoders (31-33) produce signals for reproducing rotational position of the units. The amplitude of the torque components is set to be proportional to a relative rotation between the units. The torque components with equal amplitude and opposite directions of rotation are applied on one of the motors.
