A feeder pipe (ZL) is connected via the joint to two outgoing pipes (AL1,2), and it has a flap valve (K) to feed the pneumatic flow into one of these pipes. All pipes have a circular cross section of approx. the same size, and form a Y-shaped joint with a small angle between the two outgoing pipes. The pivoted flap has a tongue-shaped outline shaped like half an ellipse. The small axis of the ellipse is the pivot axis and is positioned at right angles to the pipe axis. The flap is dimensioned so that in end positions, it engages flush on the inner walls of one of the pipes. In the branch area, the two outgoing pipes merge into a dividing wall, which extends to the pivot axis of the flap.
