APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR CONVERTING IMAGE MAP USING NO REFERENCE MAP

PURPOSE: An apparatus and method for converting an image map without reference map are provided to easily select a warping point and directly input a reference point in the case that there are no conversion utility and reference map in converting a format between image maps. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for converting an image map using no reference map includes an image map generator(31), an image file extractor(32), an image file register(33), and a warping processor(34). The image map generator receives an image map to be converted and generates an image map including lattice coordinates from the received image map. The image file extractor extracts image files from the image map to be converted and the image map including the lattice coordinates. The image file register temporarily resisters the extracted image file to be converted and the image file including the lattice coordinates in the format of an object image map. The warping processor overlays the registered image maps, sets intersection points of lattice lines as warping points and maps coordinate values to be converted to the warping points to perform warping process.
