The plastic cover (2) for a motor vehicle seat adjuster has a fixing with a projection spigot (4) at its front end to engage in an aperture in the seat. The spigot has circular section toothing to engage in a matching toothed bore in a split sleeve (3) which has arms (3a) which fit behind the edge of the opening. The spigot can be inserted for different depths into the sleeve.
