PURPOSE: A method of controlling green algae using a plant extract of Apocynaceae is provided to control the green algae causing green tide economically and environment-friendly while being effective in water quality management. CONSTITUTION: A plant extract of Apocynaceae for controlling green algae mainly contains at least one component of cardioactive glycosides, oleandroside, and nerioside. The Apocynaceae plant is selected from the group consisting of Nerium indicum, Nerium indicum for. plenum, Nerium indicum for. lutescens, Nerium indicum for. leucanthum, Nerium oleander, and variations thereof. The Apocynaceae plant extract is diluted by 1000 times or less, and used to control the green algae. |
